Space Pictures

Collected images from NASA’s sometimes sporadic, sometimes confusing archive. Collected in the highest possible quality at the time.

What can we learn, as; artists, curators, collectors, inquisitive people, teachers, students, humans, writers; from the challenging history and image archive of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration of the USA.

Politically challenged and propagandist? Yes

Honest and tender? Yes

The visual diversity in the images are enough to send yourself in a caffeine riddled spiral of technicolour madness, but I think that the experience is as much one of photographic prowess as it is a look at the human condition.

Thank you NASA, my love.

“I would define it as a longing for a home that no longer exists or has never existed. Nostalgia is a sentiment of loss and displacement...”
